An early fascination and respect for police officers led Shawn McEwen on the path to a career in criminal justice, possibly even as an FBI agent. Nearly 40 years after her first attempt at a degree in law enforcement, she’s finally reached that goal. McEwen recently earned her Bachelor of Science from University of Maryland Global Campus (Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ) with a double major in criminal justice and management studies.

Use of virtual lab simulations in science courses is becoming a standard at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ and boosting non-science students’ knowledge and engagement with science. 

The university is joining the national Learning and Employment Record (LER) Accelerator, a prestigious new initiative championing digital credentialing that better match workforce needs.

The FamilyU Cohort is designed to provide student parents with technical assistance that will help them stay on track so they can complete their degrees and advance their career prospects.
